The Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ is to take the gospel to all the world (Mark 16:15). With football being a universal sport this has opened many new doors for us to work in many different countries over the past 10 years.

Working mostly with missionaries and churches our work has helped them to often reach into the hearts of their local community with the gospel and many has seen many coming to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Most trips last between 6-14 days and in 2016 we are anticipating trips to Spain, Serbia, India, Scotland and Canada.

Details of these will be available very soon, so as the saying goes, Watch this space, and if you are interested in going please contact us either by phone or email.

India Trip - February 2016

In February a team of five coaches set out for Goa, India to coach football in schools, train coaches and to work with children living in the slums. Coaching4Christ’s first trip was in 2013 partnering with El Shaddai Ministries ran by Pastor Matthew Kurian. Their ministry works with over 4000 children, many of which are rescued from the streets in very sad situations. Shelter, food and education is provided for the children and teaching from God’s Word gives the children a start in life that they would not normally have.

Scotland Trip - April 2015

Recently we travelled to Musselburgh, Scotland to hold a camp working Musselburgh Baptist Church. We had a great time coaching in the beautiful Scottish sunshine with over 60 children hearing the gospel. A fantastic week with brilliant kids and a great church, we are excited to see what God has in store for Scotland in the future.

Italy Trip - June 2015

In 2015 C4C returned to Italy to again work in the town of Porto Mantovano. A group of four coaches worked along side Castlerock missionary, Alan Johnston, and the Sola Grazia Church. They ran a four day camp called Porto United Camp which reached kids from the area. This gave the coaches an opportunity to share the Gospel with the kids by talking about Creation, Sin, Jesus and Salvation over the four days. They were also given the opportunity to meet and have fellowship with the members of the church and felt God’s plan moving within the church community.

Spain Trip - June 2015

C4C travelled to Velez-Malaga where they worked alongside missionary’s who started up a church called Centro Christiano in the town. This trip was for the trainees who had just finished their training academy year and for most of them was their first ever missions trip. Team went into a different school each morning to coach football to multiple age groups but were not allowed to share the gospel in school grounds. The kids from each school were then invited to a camp in the evening for more football which was held in a public place, which then allowed to the time to share the Gospel with the kids. It was a great week of fellowship for the team and the presence of God was felt throughout the whole week.

India Trip 2015

In February, C4C returned to India to work alongside Pastor Matthew Kurian of El Shaddai Ministries. Stephen Crawford and David Graham travelled to Goa to facilitate a coach education programme alongside coaching the schools in the local area. There was a fantastic reception to hearing about Jesus for the first time, with twenty six people responding to the Gospel over the course of the trip.

Serbia trip - June 2014

C4C travelled to Serbia in June to work alongside 1st Belgrade Baptist Church. Two camps were held in Belgrade and Pancevo. This was the first international trip for our trainees in the class of 2014. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to use all they had learned throughout the year in class. Despite Christianity being a minority in the country, we saw God move in the local communities.

Poland trip - June 2014

This was the second trip for the training academy class. Travelling on from Belgrade they arrived in Gdansk to work along side Pastor Adrian Stróżek. They coached in local schools and also helped the church youth group with their summer programme. This trip was special as we helped a group of passionate young people in poland reach their friends.

Uganda trip - August 2014

This year we travelled to Uganda in connection with missionaries Raymond and Jackie Givan. Whilst there the team ran a summer camp for the Children in the Luwero area and saw many people respond to God’s Word. This truly was an amazing trip for all involved as they witnessed many lives transformed by Christ. God really is moving in Africa!

Spain trip - August 2014

Once again we retuned to velez-malaga to work with Michael and Julie Chitty. This year not only did we run a summer camp but we also selected players for our team called ‘the all-stars’. They would be playing in the first ever c4c european cup against our very own c4c assessment centre team from Northern Ireland. The tournament was played against other local teams Velez CF and Torre del Mar CF. It was incredible to watch one generation, from two countries, connect  together through football.

Italy trip - August 2014

Our team of eight coaches set out for Porto Mantovano, Italy to work alongside Coram Deo missionaries Alan and Tracy Johnson. We partnered with the local church, Sola Grazia, to make the largest impact we could for God in the area; reaching 30 kids with the good news of Jesus Christ. This week served to encourage the members of the local church to reach out further into their community.
