An incredibly important aspect of C4C is prayer. This ministry is possibly one of the most critical in our organisation as we seek God’s help and guidance for all the different aspects of C4C.
Prayer Warriors are people who have a committed relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and have dedicated themselves to pray everyday each month for a specific need or person within Coaching for Christ. They also meet once a month as a team and share testimony of prayers that have been answered.
Why Pray?
“Because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts,
prompting us to call out, ‘Abba, Father.’” – Galatians 4:6
Prayer is a way for those within this close relationship with God to commune with Him. God already knows our hearts and our thoughts but He wants us, His children, to come to Him and share the longings and sorrows of our hearts with Him. The Bible says in the book of James Ch 4:8; “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
Jesus Himself prayed to the Father (Matthew 26:36-46) and He also taught us how to pray, the prayer which is now famously known as the ‘Lords Prayer’ (Luke 11:1-13). This shows that God wants us to have a close relationship with Him and that He loves to hear our hearts. As Followers of Christ we should follow the example that He left before us, in that when we pray, we are not always asking and wanting but that we take time to remember the many blessings that God gives to us each day. The Psalmist wrote; “I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.” (Psalm 9:1)
“The reason why we pray is simply that we cannot help praying.” – William James
“Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done.” – Philippians 4:6
Vision
Our vision as Prayer Warriors is that we stand in the gap and intercede for each person involved within C4C covering them and their families in prayer; and that God would provide an individual Prayer Warrior for each team member.
