VISPA

The Vision and Passion Christian Academy (VISPA) is as an orphanage, a school and a church in rural southwestern Kenya, near Lake Victoria. Started by Hellen Ochieng, a former bank employee who decided her life would be better spent serving those whose lives have been destroyed by poverty and AIDS, VISPA provides a home to over 40 orphaned children, an education to over 350 students, and a church for the community.

We at C4C have been involved with VISPA ever since our first trip to Kenya, and have worked hand in hand ever since with Hellen and George, and the rest of the staff there, to improve the physical and spiritual lives of those who live at the orphanage, attend the school, and attend the church.

On our trips to Kisumu, we work with around 500-600 children from VISPA and other schools in the surrounding area. We run soccer coaching camps and World Cup tournaments where we teach the children, through fun games, new soccer skills, and also at each session share a message from the Bible about Jesus Christ and the love that He has for them.

We invite you through our child sponsorship scheme to be part of significantly improving the lives of the children who attend the Vispa Emmanuel Christian Academy.
