Senior Development Centre Tournament – March 2012

Saturday 3rd March unexpectedly turned out weather-wise to be “a cracker” as Frank Carson would say, and as the players began to arrive at Ballee Playing Fields you could see their excitement growing.

Junior Development Centre Tournament

On Saturday 18th February, C4C held their second P4/5 Junior Development Centre Tournament at the Ballee Pitches in Ballymena. The weather much reflected the tournament, UNPREDICTABLE, with snow forecasted but plenty of sunshine around…but the kids (as always) were enthusiastic and ready to go!

Ahoghill 2-5 Newtownabbey [D.Centre League]

Newtownabbey arrived at the Ballee Playing Fields to face Ahoghill for the first time this season. Bright sunshine welcomed the players on what was a cool January afternoon – ideal conditions for football.

Fourtowns 0-8 Ballyclare [D.Centre League]

Fourtowns first match of the New Year was to welcome Ballyclare to the Ballee playing fields on a cool but dry afternoon. Both teams were eager to start the year with a victory so it made for an interesting watch.

Newtownabbey welcomed local rivals Ballyclare to the Valley for this top of the table clash. The venue of this match was switched as Ballyclare’s home pitch was deemed unplayable. The heavy pitch, strong winds, and frequent showers weren’t going to make it conducive for good football. [Read more...]
