Newtownabbey welcomed local rivals Ballyclare to the Valley for this top of the table clash. The venue of this match was switched as Ballyclare’s home pitch was deemed unplayable. Newtownabbey 10-2 Cullybackey (Development Centres)

Newtownabbey welcomed Cullybackey to the Valley; both sides looking for their first win of the season. The weather was perfect and pitch, though boggy in places, was largely good making it ideal for a good game of football.

The visitors got the game underway, but it was the home side who settled quickest. And in only the 2nd minute of the game, Jason McCombe’s corner wasn’t properly cleared by the Cullybackey defence, and Newtownabbey captain Ryan Paul riffled it home to give his team the perfect start. Junior Development Centre Tournament Report

On Saturday 5th November, C4C held their first ever P4-P5 Junior Development Centre Tournament at the Ballee Pitches in Ballymena. The morning was cold and foggy but the kids were enthusiastic and ready to go! 8 Teams entered into the tournament; in Group One there was Newtownabbey, Cullybackey Rovers, Fourtowns and Ballyclare. In Group Two there was Ballykeel, Maine Rangers, Ahoghill and Six Mile.
