Possession

Last night at the Newtownabbey Development Centre, we had a guest speaker for the ‘Centre Spot’. Richard Harris came along and even joined in with the training session with the boys and girls.

Training focused on ‘possession’. The children practiced keeping possession of the ball in small teams using the simple geometry of ‘triangles’. The session then progressed by introducing a defender who applied pressure to each attacker, closing down one of their options. [Read more...]

CFC Ballyclare… Christmas 2011

For our Christmas night out in Ballyclare we went to the Soccer Shed and played a four team tournament, which was won by Rudolph’s Rangers. Newtownabbey Christmas Party

Thursday 8th December was a ‘Special Treat’ night for the C4C Development centre. The boys and girls were treated to a night off-premises and were instead taken to the UUJ indoor 3G pitch for a night of World-cup fun and competition

Half-way through our matches, we had a guest speaker, Henry Montgomery, who is the minister of Ballycraigy Congregational Church. Henry came and spoke to the boys and girls about how Jesus is the ‘Living Water.’ [Read more...]

C4C Support The NI Children’s Hospice

Just before the Christmas break, the coaches at C4C had their “Christmas Dinner.” Well, it was more like a kick-about at the C4C Centre in Ahoghill followed by a take-away chinese!

Local Ballymena Volkswagen Car Dealership Edwin May have recently sponsored two football kits and 25 footballs for local Coaching4Christ Community League football teams CFC Ahoghill and CFC Fourtowns.
