C4C do well at Mini World Cup

Last Saturday 5th June, Moyola Park FC held their annual Mini World Cup fundraising event at their state of the art home ground in Castledawson. C4C entered three teams into the competition – CFC Ahoghill, CFC Ballykeel, and CFC Newtownabbey.

CFC Ballykeel grabbed the cup after a very close final with CFC Ahoghill who came runners up. CFC Newtownabbey came in third after players from C4C’s Mossley and Ballyclare teams came together to put in an impressive day’s performance.

Sam McNiece from CFC Ballykeel won the day’s penalty competition, finishing his opponent off in style with a well placed penalty in the top right corner, far from the keepers reach.

Jordan Malone from CFC Newtownabbey won top goal scorer with 7 goals at the tournament, scoring some top class goals including an outstanding long range half volley in the 3rd/4th place playoff.

Ryan Agnew from CFC Ballykeel won player of the tournament after putting in a lot of great and consistent skilfull performances throughout the day. A well deserved award for the youngster.

Moyola Park FC won the Plate competition and must receive applause not only for their peromance in the tournament, but for the professional and well ran tournament which they hosted.

Thanks again to our friends at Moyola for their invitation to C4C to take part in their Mini World Cup, and all the best for next season.
