C4C Carrickfergus Prize Night 2016

On the 22nd May C4C Carrickfergus finished their season with their prize night held in Carrick Baptist. It was a great night and well attended not only by our own players and families but also the congregation of Carrick Baptist Church.   The night consisted of prayer, videos on the work of C4C, an epilogue and the giving out of certificates and trophies. The night was finished with a supper provided by the church who we want to thank for this and for all their support throughout the year.   Well done to all the players for their hard work and commitment to the team throughout the season. A big thank you to all who attended and we look forward to next season.   Super Soccer Awards: Most Improved: Jayden Hamilton Player of the Year: Corey Yohanis   Junior Championship Awards: Top Goalscorer: David Peden Most Improved: Lewis Martin Player of the Year: Matthew Allen    ... read more

It was with great joy toward the end of April we received the delivery of 10,000 special New Testaments for us to distribute among all we work with. With a specially designed cover and 7 pages of our own material inserted into the front of the NT we are excited with what God is going to do through them in the future. For this special NT edition to be produced we want to thank all who have given so generously towards it. Without your generosity this would not have been possible. Thank you so much.  ... read more

Over a period of 6 Tuesday nights in March and April we hosted a “Summer Camp Football Ministry Training Course” in the Coaching4Christ Centre, Ahoghill.   A major part of our work is training others to do the work themselves. This includes churches hosting their own Summer Camps without ourselves being there, and over the 6 weeks of the course over 20 Christians from various churches attended.   The course was very practical minded. There was a focus on theory but this was with the goal of each person being able to deliver a Bible Talk for children and coaching football drills. We also looked at the practicalities of leading and running a Summer Camp discussing how everything is done.   Each week time was also given to looking at the life of Jesus Christ and His example to us. We want to thank all who attended the course and congratulations to all who successfully completed it. We trust you have a great summer in serving the Lord.            ... read more

Ballyclare Super Soccer Centre (P4&5)

It was a sunny evening in Ballyclare to mark the final night of our P4/5 Super Soccer development centre. Excitement was building as we awaited our World Cup to go underway. The first whistle blew and off we went for the remainder of the night. Each child put their all into every game hoping to clinch victory. By the end of the evening, parents were gathered up to watch the last few matches take place. After a close final it was the green team who claimed victory. Next up was our prize giving. These included a Player of The Year and the Most Improved Player for both ages. After many discussions and hard decisions we were able to pick our final four.   P5 Player of The Year was Tom Fleming. P5 Most Improved Player was Isaac Millar.   P4 Player of The Year was Nathaniel Ireland. P4 Most Improved Player was Luca Moisevici.   On behalf of Coaching For Christ and the Ballyclare team we would like to say a massive thank you to all the parents and kids who came to us throughout the year. We really enjoyed it and hope to see you all very soon. God bless from the C4C team. Many thanks,... read more

Ballyclare 3 Ahoghill 2 Youth Premiership – Saturday 30th April 2016

This was the final game of the season for the Ballyclare 1st year squad and they were still searching for their first win of the season.   Ahoghill had been on a good run of form coming into this match. The game started with Ballyclare enjoying the majority of possession with Jamie Murphy controlling the midfield. They created plenty of chances but couldn’t find a way past the excellent Samuel Aitcheson in the Ahoghill goal. Ahoghill started to come into the game as the half went on but Sam Hamilton and Bobby Haggan were defending heroically for Ballyclare. Ahoghill got the first goal of the game through the impressive Charlie Knowles who finished well.   Ahoghill made it 2 nil before half time when Aston Thompson found space in the box and smashed the ball into the top corner.   Half Time: Ballyclare 0 Ahoghill 2   Ballyclare took kick off in the second half and scored straight away. After five five passes the ball arrived at the feet of Daryl Cardy who smashed the ball into the top corner.   Daryl had been a real threat all match and got the goal his effort deserved. The match was end to end from here on. Ballyclare goalkeeper Tom McAlister pulled of a great reflex save to keep the score 2-1. With three minutes left Ballyclare equalised through Robbie Boyd and in the final minute Jake Woods got the winner to the delight of the Ballyclare players. This was a very entertaining and closely contested match, both teams deserving a lot of credit for their performances.   Man of Match: Ballyclare:   Daryl... read more
